A Look Back

Getaway & Give 2026 in Las Terrenas

In March 2026, supporters from around the world spent a weekend in Las Terrenas with Dominican Joe Kids. It began with a welcome night at Mosquito Beach Bar, continued with a morning at our school and a lunch gathering by the beach, and closed with our signature gala and charity auction.

Every edition is also where we share a full public breakdown of how every dollar was raised and spent.

Most guests fly into Samaná El Catey International Airport (AZS), about 30 to 40 minutes from Las Terrenas, or Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) in Santo Domingo, about two and a half hours away by car.

Las Terrenas has hotels, villas and guesthouses for every style and budget. If you would like suggestions, contact our team.

Yes. Past editions have welcomed guests for individual events as well as the full weekend.

A visit to the Dominican Joe Kids school has been one of the highlights of past editions. Details for 2027 will be shared with the full schedule.

No. Getaway & Give welcomes an international community, and our team speaks both English and Spanish.

Dominican Joe Kids is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States (EIN 99-3015786). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. For tickets, the portion above the value of the food and drink you receive is generally deductible. Please check with your tax advisor.

Why Join Us

What to Expect at Getaway & Give 2027

Getaway & Give 2027 runs March 11 to 13, 2027, in Las Terrenas, on the Samaná Peninsula of the Dominican Republic. The full schedule will be announced soon, and the weekend will follow the spirit of past editions: time with fellow supporters, a chance to see our school and an evening gala that raises funds for our students.

In 2026 the weekend began with a welcome night at Mosquito Beach Bar, continued with a morning at our school and a lunch gathering by the beach, and closed with our signature gala and charity auction.

You are welcome at Getaway & Give 2027 for the full weekend or for individual events, and our team speaks English and Spanish. To plan your trip, the official Go Dominican Republic travel site is a helpful place to start. Join the waitlist to hear first when the 2027 schedule is released.
